The continuing decline of the economic power of the United States and its pending collapse as a coherent entity is heralded by several critical indicia.

Among these indicia is the historic surge of unlawful migration through badly porous borders projected to see momentous increase in traffic:

Thus, 2024 is forecast to see a new all-time record for encounters, eclipsing the pre-Biden records set under the Reagan and Clinton administrations by more than one million.  It is also 400,000 higher than the quantities proposed in the much-maligned Border Security Act promulgated last month.

Shipbuilding in the United States, vitally necessary for the broader perpetuation of thalassocratic power and direct projection of naval force, has atrophied to the degree that a single maritime center in China outstrips the entire U.S. production capacity:

Today, Jiangnan Shipyard alone has more capacity than all U.S. shipyards combined, and China’s broader naval shipbuilding capacity is over 230 times larger than that of the United States.

John Deere US, an American company established a quarter-century prior to the Civil War with $10.166 billion in 2023 profits, is shutting domestic plants and moving manufacturing to Mexico:

Since October 2023, more than 1,000 John Deere workers have either been laid off or pushed into an early retirement across several plants in Iowa and Illinois.

In many instances, production that these US workers were responsible for has been shifted to new locations in Mexico. The company was founded 187 years ago.

More layoffs are expected later this year - despite John Deere raking in over $10 billion in profit in 2023 while also paying CEO John May $26.7 million in total compensation.

The Boeing Company, recently plagued with safety issues, recorded first quarter revenue of $16.6 billion in 2024 while also entering into a deferred prosecution agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice over conspiracy charges:

The Boeing Company (Boeing) has entered into an agreement with the Department of Justice to resolve a criminal charge related to a conspiracy to defraud the Federal Aviation Administration’s Aircraft Evaluation Group (FAA AEG) in connection with the FAA AEG’s evaluation of Boeing’s 737 MAX airplane:

As Boeing admitted in court documents, Boeing—through two of its 737 MAX Flight Technical Pilots—deceived the FAA AEG about an important aircraft part called the Maneuvering Characteristics Augmentation System (MCAS) that impacted the flight control system of the Boeing 737 MAX. Because of their deception, a key document published by the FAA AEG lacked information about MCAS, and in turn, airplane manuals and pilot-training materials for U.S.-based airlines lacked information about MCAS.

On Oct. 29, 2018, Lion Air Flight 610, a Boeing 737 MAX, crashed shortly after takeoff into the Java Sea near Indonesia. All 189 passengers and crew on board died. Following the Lion Air crash, the FAA AEG learned that MCAS activated during the flight and may have played a role in the crash. The FAA AEG also learned for the first time about the change to MCAS, including the information about MCAS that Boeing concealed from the FAA AEG.

On March 10, 2019, Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302, a Boeing 737 MAX, crashed shortly after takeoff near Ejere, Ethiopia. All 157 passengers and crew on board died. Following the Ethiopian Airlines crash, the FAA AEG learned that MCAS activated during the flight and may have played a role in the crash.

Gaius Baltar on Substack provides an excellent summary analysis of why Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion ("DEI") policies are fatal to advanced nations:

The small pool of competent people is not the only problem with bleeding edge programs. They also tend to be very specific in terms of the skills and abilities required. As the skills and abilities become more specific, the more likely they are to be found in a specific group. In other words, as the project becomes more specific, the more it requires a uniform group of people. As projects become less specific, the more likely they are to demand a group of people with diverse skills – and from different groups. This automatically turns bleeding edge programs into priority targets for DEI. Because of the importance of bleeding edge programs and the severe consequences of their failure, this is where DEI does its greatest damage to the economy and its competitiveness. [Emphasis in original.]

This dysregulation and disorder within the U.S. industrial base unavoidably extends into the depreciation and rot of critical continuity industries such as energy, agriculture, armaments, transportation, and more.

Bloated corporations with criminal management and cynical abrogation of domestic duty in pursuit of diminishing shareholder returns cannot be relied upon to preserve the survival, let alone the livelihoods, of the natural-born American demographic.
