Following the broader victory of the Hard Right across international borders in the recent European Parliament elections, Alternative für Deutschland ("AfD") has taken first place in the central German state of Thuringia.
The powerful results of the Hard Right in the state that produced Schiller, Goethe, and Bach represent clear, unmistakable, and powerful shift of initiative and momentum:
In the eastern states of Saxony and Thuringia, the far-right AfD received more than double as many votes as the three parties which make up the federal coalition government — the center-left Social Democrats (SPD), environmentalist Greens and neoliberal Free Democrats (FDP) — combined.
This victory is significant for the sudden breakthrough and attainment of mass and momentum that delivers critical judicial and constitutional leverage to AfD:
In any case, with over 30% of the vote the AfD has a so-called "blocking minority" - meaning it will be able to stop the appointment of new judges or any constitutional change.
Election results in Saxony also showed powerful surge for the Hard Right with AfD narrowly taking second place by a razor thin margin:
The CDU held a razor-thin lead in Saxony, with a projected vote share of between 31.5% and 31.8%, while the AfD is projected to land between 30.8% and 31.4%.
The growth of the hard Right movement Germany is graphically illustrated with inescapable numbers:
The 2024 election is only the third time the AfD ran for parliament in Thuringia. Founded in 2013, the party is still a relative newcomer on Germany's political stage but it has seen a steady rise in popularity, particularly in some states in eastern Germany. In Thuringia, it has managed to triple its share of votes over the past three state elections from 10% in 2014 to more than 30% in 2024.
The globalist Left and its ideological adherents are well aware that the initiative has passed to the Hard Right with the turning of the age.
German chancellor Olaf Scholz issued plaintively reactive and disordered call for assistance from other European politicians:
Scholz, whose deeply unpopular three-party coalition received a slapdown in both states, called the results “bitter” and “worrying”.
“The AfD is damaging Germany. It is weakening the economy, dividing society and ruining our country’s reputation,” he said.
“All democratic parties are now called upon to form stable governments without right-wing extremists,” he said in a message on Facebook.
Militant rise of fighting age males who refuse to abandon their heritage and move to seize the future by right continues to accelerate:
Thorsten Faas, a political scientist from Berlin's Free University, called AfD's popularity for younger voters "very worrying." In Thuringia, 38% of people aged between 18-24 gave their vote to the far-right party — compared to 33% overall, according to public broadcaster ARD's Tagesschau election analysis.
"These first voting experiences are very formative and you can assume that this will also affect future voting decisions of this generation," Faas said.
AfD leader in Thuringia Björn Höcke is set to drive further success into the German polity:
With federal elections only a year away, the AfD is second in national opinion polls. Co-leader Alice Weidel said the result was a "requiem" for the three parties running Germany and it was clear that voters in both eastern states wanted her party in government.
"Without us a stable government is no longer possible at all," she said.
That message was repeated by Björn Höcke, who suggested there were plenty of CDU voters who would be happy if they worked together.
Palpable fear on the Left will be reinforced and hammered into ground reality by unmistakable reversal of the policies of degeneration and self-desecration that cannot be ignored:
“The firewall at the county level no longer exists and this will only get worse,” said Jana Pinka, a local politician for the Left party. “I’m really scared that it’s going to get even darker. I sometimes look for parallels with the 1930s.”
In the German state of Brandenburg, elections will be held in September. AfD is leading in the polls:
A third former East German state, Brandenburg, is also due to hold an election later in September, where polls have the AfD ahead on around 24 percent.
The tide has turned and the Age of Militants marches towards fuller flower in the months and years ahead.
